Healthy lifestyle Snacking Options
Each Snack is a healthy choice to opt for. Depending on your metabolic type your reactions to each option will be individual. Know your type, and select a proper snack. If snacking later in the afternoon be sure to choose foods that are lower on the glycemic index for more stable blood sugar levels and consistent long lasting energy.
- 1 piece ezekial cinnamon raison bread lightly toasted with 1 tbs sugar free jam and 1 tbs all natural p.b.
- 1 slice Ezekiel sprouted grain toast with 3 slices all natural turkey meat, 2 tbs of cottage cheese, seasoning.
- "Kale Callipso" 1/2 cup Black Beans 1/2 cup corn with 1/2 cup salsa all wrapped up into a large Kale Leaf.
- 30 grapes and 5 almonds
- 1/2 can Meijer all natural chili Poured on "Mashed Cauliflowers" (steam head of cauliflower, seasoned and mashed)
- Pickled Vegetables ( cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, Green beans, radish, onion, carrot, celery, jalepino, hard boiled egg.
- 1 apple diced and dipped into ½ cup of a Greek yogurt
- 3 oz rotisserie chicken (skin removed) with 1 cup steamed green beans with a horseradish mustard mixed into the mix for a tasty sauce.
- 4 Tablespoons hummus with 8 Athenos pita chips (meijer)
- 1 cup nonfat or 1% cottage cheese and 1/3 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 cup mixed vegetables with 1 table spoon all natural extra virgin olive oil, mixed with steamed and seasoned Brussels sprouts
- 1 large Wasa cracker squares and 1 ½ Tablespoon peanut butter or almond butter
- 2/3 cup plain, fat-free yogurt and 4 Tablespoons Grape Nuts
- “Amino Cappuccino” 8-16 oz flavored coffee of choice, 1-2 scoops protein whey powder, 1 packet stevia
- "Trail Mix" 6 almonds and ¼ cup Dried natural cranberries with 6 carob chips
- ½ medium apple and 1 ½ Tablespoon peanut butter
- 2 whole wheat all natural rice cakes and 1 ½ Tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon sugar free jam (smushed berries are fresh and healthier)
- 1 string cheese with 6 whole wheat saltines and dijon drops ontop
- 2 oz tuna salad with 6 whole wheat saltines with yellow mustard or chopped onions and dill
- 1/2 of a "MOM's Bars"
- “Ants on a log” 2 celery stalks with 1 tbs each of natural peanut butter and 6 raisins to top it off
- ½ medium banana dipped into 1 serving Greek yogurt
- 1 medium apple and a Tablespoon of Natural peanut butter
- 1 cup of grapes and 5 almonds
- “Sweet fruit” 1 med size grapefruit sliced in two, sprinkle cinnamon and stevia atop
- 1 ounce of raw Nuts ( almonds, walnuts, pecans, mixed) with a glass of lemon juice or tea
- 2 Dill pickles or 1 ½ light string cheese, each wrapped in a slice of turkey breast, with mustard dip
- 1 medium orange or Grapefruit
- 2 celery stalks with one table spoon all natural peanut butter on each, with 5 raisins atop.
- 1 medium-small banana and 5 almonds stuck into the side for a nice crunch
- 1 cup of raw baby carrots dipped into 1 oz hummus spread
- ¾ cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup fruit of choice (strawberries, blueberry, blackberry)
- 2 sticks of string cheese each wrapped in 1 piece of nitrate free sliced turkey with mustard dip.
- 1 plain Greek yogurt with 1/8 cup fresh fruit or granola
- Protein shake - 1-2 scoop whey protein powder of choice. 8 oz skim milk
- “light heart-ed PB&J “1 whole wheat all natural Rice cake with 1 tbs of natural peanut butter and 1 tbs of sugar free jam
- 1 Low Fat Mozzarella Cheese Sticks and 1 serving of Kashi garlic roasted crackers
- organic applesauce with a sprinkle of cinnamon
- "Craving Killer" Oatmeal cookies — pick low fat, high fiber varieties (kashi)
- "Craving Killer" Fat Free Instant Pudding (individually packaged, or made by the box) with one scoop protein whey
- 1 cup of sliced melon
- 1 tbs Almond Butter & 1 tbs sugar free Jelly on 1 slice whole wheat bread
- 1 cup of fresh strawberries sugar coated in truvia sweetener.
- 3 oz chicken breast with 1 slice low fat cheese and salsa topping
- Protein blended shake with 1-2 scoops whey protein, 8 oz milk, cinnamon/cocoa,ice
- 1 morning star patty or boca burger
- 2 smart dogs dipped in walden farms sugar free ketchup
- “Carb free spicy turkey sandwich” 5 slices of low sodium nitrate free turkey in between two baby portabella mushrooms and spicy mustard topping
- “Curds N Crunch” 2 celery stalks, ½ fat free cottage cheese spread into each stalk. Drip a line of mustard and Pepper for taste. or use seasoning of choice
