The Metabolic Typing Diet....
Over the last quarter century we've witnessed a profound cultural shift in our perspectives towards health and wellness. We have awakened to the realization that modern medical science has no “magic bullet” solutions for the majority of human ailments, and that good health and longevity are somehow inextricably linked to diet and lifestyle management. We are continually bombarded with complex and often contradictory information about what constitutes a healthy diet. There's widespread disagreement among dietary experts, about what we should be eating, and its virtually impossible to make sense of these conflicting opinions. On top of that most of us are paralyze by the sheer volume of miscellaneous dietary tips, nutritional advice, and product information that comes our way in the media. How would you begin to sort through it all, and most importantly know whats best for your body?
A Fundamental obstacle...
A fundamental obstacle that has long prevented us from achieving the kind of dietary success we yearn for is standardized nutrition. Virtually all of the worlds leading dietary experts have established single “one size fits all”dietary solutions (examples: food pyramid, Atkins diet, Mediterranean diet) all which they believe can be universally applied to everyone, but that has been a false assumption. Standardized diets and nutritional approaches fail to recognize that for genetic reasons, people are all very different from one another on a biochemical or metabolic level. In other words, we are all very different in the way we process foods and utilize nutrients. Thus we all have highly individualized nutritional requirements. In the same way that certain car engines are designed to run on gasoline and others cant run without diesel fuel, your body has its own unique “engines of metabolism” and requires specific kinds of “body Fuel” or food in order to function efficiently.
We all take it for granted that human beings are very different on an external level, with respect to hair texture and color, skin color, facial features, height, weight, skeletal structure, and so on. Yet we're largely unaware of, or inattentive to, the biological diversity that exists internally. Just as no two individual share the same finger print, and no two snowflakes are alike, there is infinite variety among people from a metabolic and physiological perspective.
Your dietary needs are largely determined by your ancestral heritage, and your ancestors dietary needs were the result of evolution and adaptation to many unique aspects of their natural habitat. Including geographical location, climate, naturally occurring vegetation and available food sources. As you can imagine, a diet that could effectively support the health of people living in one part of the world, say, equatorial Africa would be very different from a diet that could support the health of people in Nordic countries or norther Europe or United states.
Our Opposing Paradigms for your healing
...and its up to you to choose
For over a century allopathic medicine has been the dominant medical paradigm in the western world. It's essentially a philosophy of medicine and an approach to healing that relies primarily on the use of drugs and surgery. Allopathic medicine is heavily focused on diseases and the symptoms of diseases as the targets of focal points of therapeutic strategies. Which often view disease as external, or foreign entities or invaders, almost separate from the person whom is suffering with the disease. Another key feature of allopathic medicine is “one size fits all” therapeutic protocols, which has made prescribed drugs and surgeries apart of standard protocol. For instance lets say an allopathic practitioner sees a patient with depression, and prescribes a medication like Prozac. Then that same practitioner prescribes another patient who may have high blood pressure with a prescribed vasodilator drug, and a third patient seen with colitis and then prescribed with a corticosteroid drug. Now imagine that lots of other patients with these same kinds of clinical problems consult with this practitioner. The likelihood is very high that this clinician will continue to prescribe the very same kind of remedies over and over again to anyone whom presents these given symptoms, that's the meaning of standardization. From a conceptual standpoint, alternative medicine, or holistic medicine is the opposite of allopathic medicine. Alternative medicine is patient centered rather than disease centered. It tends to DE-emphasize the significance of specific diseases, while focusing instead on lifestyle considerations and the constitutional strengths and weaknesses of the individual. Also, herbalists, homeopaths, chiropractors, and other holistic or alternative practitioners maintain a strong belief in subtle, natural, noninvasive treatments or remedies designed to support the bodies innate ability to regulate and heal itself. Further, growing numbers of health consumers are convinced that natural remedies are not only safer than most drugs, but also that they promote or facilitate the body's own natural healing capabilities. With each passing year, more and more people become true believers in the value of nutritional science and related areas of alternative medicine .
Nutrition's Best Kept secret is this...
There's no such thing as “The Healthy diet”..... and there never has been.
There's nothing intrinsically healthy or unhealthy about any given food. All the matters is how well a particular food or dietary regimen can fulfill your unique, genetically inherited metabolic requirements. Basically any given food works with your body, or it does not.
Nutrition's best kept secret is this: A diet or nutrient that works well for one person may have no effect on a second person, and may make a third person worse. A more precise technical way of describing the same principle: any food or nutrient can have virtually opposite biochemical influences in different people. This is the concept that lies at the heart of metabolic typing. Just as clinicians use this technology to evaluate peoples nutritional requirements, and to design individualized nutritional protocols, Metabolic typing is created to do just that, with a very simple, user friendly methodology that anyone can use to customize a diet to his or her own unique body chemistry. Just by using the questioner contained within the Metabolic Typing Book you will be able to identify your individual “Metabolic Type” very easily. Once you have established your type, you may use this information to select the specific foods and combinations of foods that will enable your body to function at peak efficiency. Unlike existing dietary approaches, metabolic typing is a dynamic process that does far more than simply assign you to a broad, fixed category that roughly approximates your nutritional needs. Its much more precise and flexible than anything you may have experimented with before. Also, for your unique nutritional needs you are able to use a series of additional self test and “fine tuning” techniques that you can use to tailor your diet to a very high degree of accuracy and precision.
Since metabolic typing is not a static system, the tools contained here allow you to adjust your diet if your metabolism shifts. Its important to realize that your metabolic rate is not carved in stone. Although you were born with a specific set of dietary requirements dictated by your genetic heritage, your needs can shift for any number of reasons, such as illness, stress, aging, or nutrient deficiencies or excesses. Where metabolism is concerned everything is highly individualized and your body in always in flux. That's why testing your type and fine tuning it to your needs are techniques that you can employ from a time to time basis.
Once you discover your metabolic type and begin to eat accordingly, it will be a liberating experience on many different levels. Even if your currently consuming only the highest quality and most healthful of foods, and food supplements available, its entirely possible that your mal-nourished ( deficient in specific minerals or nutrients that your particular metabolism type requires to function properly and at peak efficiency. In the short term, a metabolically appropriate diet will put an end to food cravings, hunger, blood sugar imbalances, many forms of digestive problems, headaches, depression, irritability, and other nagging ailments. You'll have plenty of physical and mental energy, and your food will be efficiently converted to energy rather that stored as fat. If you stick to a diet that's tailored to your metabolic type, there are plenty of long term benefits you can expect as well, including permanent weight loss without struggle, deprivation or calorie restriction; strengthened immunity; ongoing energy and endurance, a slowing of the aging process; and the ability to prevent and reverse many types of chronic illness. I encourage for yourself the benefits to be derived from pursuing a diet that's customized just for you.

Food ...as... Medicine
Whats essential to understand is that food is the ultimate medicine. There is no drug or vitamin pill or herb or other nutritional supplement that can influence your health as profoundly as your diet.
In this day and age, with nutritional supplement so widely available, many people make the mistake of thinking they can eat what they want as long as they take vitamins and minerals. But this is definitely not the case. Supplements are just what their name implies, a supplement to your diet, not a substitute for it.
To a limited extent, supplements may compensate for a diet that is inadequate for your metabolic type. But of the two, diet and supplements, your diet is the more important. Its the foundation upon which your health is built.
Remember, your body is designed to sustain itself on the same core dietary building blocks (in the form of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats) that were available to your ancestors, not on products that come in a bottle or a box
You may take very high quality supplements, perfectly well suited to your metabolic type. But if your not eating the right diet, its like trying to run in opposite directions at the same time. In that case, the best you can hope for is that your supplements will offset some of the adverse influences of the foods your consuming.
The very best way to balance your body chemistry, increase your metabolic efficiency, and in turn, improve your health is to eat a wide variety of the foods that are right for you and avoid all the foods that are wrong for you
People in today's society tend to be out of touch with their own bodies, and many people are not even conscious of what genuinely good health feels like. Our diets have been so seriously deficient for so long that many of us have either forgotten what robust good health is all about or we've simply never experienced it at all.
As a result of sub-standard nutrition most people fail to lie up to their built in design capacity for excellent health, but without the right body fuel, it simply never materializes. Fortunately, customized nutrition enables us all to claim our natural birthright.
