How do you successfully lose weight.....and KEEP IT OFF?
By reading many weight loss success stories, staying up to date by reading current exercise/nutrition information, and also hearing stories from people I have encountered, I have listed some EXTREAMLY important keys to YOUR SUCCESS.
1) Eat breakfast everyday- this will jumpstart your metabolism for your day, missing out leads to a low metabolism which leads to storage and weight gain.
2) Drink more water- 75% of us is WATER! dehydration even thickens the blood, not only the saliva in your mouth! low water = slow moving EVERYTHING!
3) Realize healthy weight loss- 1-2 pounds/week. any more is water weight fluctuating
4) Stick to your exercise plan for 30 days- creating a habit takes 30 days, then it becomes your lifestyle. Stay dedicated for one month no matter what....... and then decide wheather or not exercising is for you....
5) Opt for the healthier choice- If its ice cream that you enjoy, opt for an all natural ice cream, or frozen yogurt. If it's chips you like? opt for baked chips, or even eat a whole baked potatoe with a little butter. Cakes, cookies or chocolate running through your mind? Kashi has many new healthier desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth, and not at the cost of raising your cholesterol or spiking your insulin for weight gain. So now days everything out there has a healthier choice, and its up to you to make that very small step so you can see those changes you have been wanting.
6) Plan for tomorrow every night- Pre-pave out your following day by picking a time slot to exercise and review your day of eating. Pack a lunch cooler with your foods for the day so theres is no more excuses. Not planning ahead makes you extreamly vaulnerable to last minute temtations and possibly a schedule conflict that puts exercise on your back burner once again.
7) Pay no attention to Nay sayers! everyone will give you there ADVICE. But are they a nutritionist? a personal trainer? a health expert? many people who have tried to lose weight, but was unsuccessful will claim that it is impossible! They beleive this so much that they will even try to stop you from losing your weight, or be jelous to the point of makin fun, instead of helping. So beleive what you READ and only if it is a FACT(Carbs are they key to open up each cell and allow protein synthesis and start the recovery proccess, which also carbs provide the only fuel for your brain, which protein and fat cannot do)....... not a CLAIM ( carbs are bad and make you fat)
8) Stay positive! keep good thoughts flowing, you must be FEARLESS and shut out that little voice that sais you cant do this . Talk over that little voice and say to yourself that I CAN DO THIS because I am worth it, and I am ready to start a new unfamiliar journey, that may get bumpy, but no matter what I will persevere.
